What a pretty little picture

That we painted

When we thought that this would last

And time it just passed

But here we are

Like nothing’s ever happened

I’ve heard everything from everyone we know

Telling me to just move on

Pack it in and let it go

Well I’m glad I never let that happen

 

Coz sitting in the front seat

Right beside me

Is the only one I’ve loved

The only one I’ve known

The only one I want to be mine

And I’m staring out the window

While he’s driving

I wonder if he knows

Anywhere he goes

I will be right beside him,yeah

 

Looking back I wish I never hesitated

When we started making plans

and baby I know

You must have been devastated

The truth is we both needed the space

We needed to let go

To let each other grow

And in the end I’m happy that we waited
